Build:
Aytan is impressively well-built for a Glenmore stag; sturdy and muscular all over. As he starts to age a little he is getting a little softer round the adges, and a teensy hint of an old-man paunch is starting to emerge, but he's still an imposing sight.

Rack:
Very similar to that of an elk, Aytan's rack is big and fair intimidating. He has two tines/horns that hang over his eyes, then four main tines from his actual antlers. His rack extends back to the middle of his back at it's most impressive. The points themselves are fairly blunted, so don't generally pose that much of a threat (they can't really pierce hide), but his strength works as a replacement.

Hair:
Aytan sports a impressively fluffy collar of fur around his neck, but otherwise it's quite short. It's quite well-maintained and looks nice thanks to a lifetime of being well-fed, but will always retain a little ruggedness. His tail is covered with hair from base to tip, but the hair is quite thin and limp.

Scars:
No obvious scars, aside from a few scratches that came from his previous calling. He has a couple of larger ones hidden within his mane, but they're never visible.

Personality:

Aytan is pretty much the ideal guard: loyal, fiercely protective and brave. He never seems to tire of keeping watch, but also loves being off duty and allowed to roam the Isles as he pleases. Having not spent much time with his mother once weaned, and never really knowing his father, he doesn't know much about parenting, so he hasn't got any immediate plans to raise a family - though that being said, he could easily gather a small band of mares each rut simply because of his size. He is quite a thoughtful stag, and isn't one to start an argument for no reason, or be inconsiderate to anyone who hasn't earnt it. If he hasn't got a given task though, he can be quite awkward, and will stand around until he's given something to do, usually. After finding Elysia he has become more tolerant and patient, and even doe-like, in some respects. He's exceedingly defensive of his charge, and doesn't appreciate the comments made by some of the other stags, though he would never retaliate. In terms of fighting intruders, he does get extremely angry, and can become quite sadistic mid-fight, though he would never dream of doing anything like that to anyone he knew/respected. He's quite cocky in terms of his fighting prowess, simply because he rarely loses a fight due to his strength. But, it doesn't affect how he acts around others, and any thoughts of superiority generally remain within his own head.

Aela(NPC)
Aytan's was always a momma's boy, and was devastated when his mother died. They'd shared an immensely close bond his entire life, and she taught him much of what he knows. She provided the support of both parents when his father denied it, never saying a word. Aytan resents her a little for not leaving Tarrinán while she was still alive, but loves her no matter what. He visits her grave frequently.
Tarrinán (NPC)
Aytan and his father always had a rocky relationship. While the two may look virtually identical, they couldn't be more different personality-wise, adn that has always created a barrier between them; Tarr thinks Aytan too soft, and Aytan thinks Tarr demands too much. Since Aela's death the two of them don't really interact, and since leaving for Haven Aytan has essentially severed all ties with him.
Caysa (NPC)
Aytan thought Caysa was the doe for him for many years, until she fell pregnant by a Blackwood and fled from him out of fear of his betrayal. Part of him hates her for her betrayal, for leaving him alone and broken-hearted, but there will always be part of him that will love her to the grave. He misses her dearly, and wishes there had been a chance for them to make amends before she had died.
Thalia
The daughter of his first love, but not his own blood, Lia was always a bit of an enigma to Aytan. He called her family, and would defend her like he would Elsy or Rosie, but the two never quite understood one another - Caysa acted as a barrier to them forming a true bond. Her death shocked him immensely into realising that he did care for her, perhaps more than he had initially thought, but he can't get over the fact that she should have been his.
 Garrick
Aytan considers Garrick to be his apprentice - or at least he was, back with the main herd. He hasn't seen the buck in a few years, but he looks forwards to a chance to meet him again, someday!
 Hagen
Aytan has had very little interaction with Hagen besides that which happened alongside Thalia, but he is intrigued by the witch. Hagen is the only Blackwood that's got Aytan wondering if Blackwoods are all bad...
 Rosalie
Rosalie is Aytan's soulmate, pure and simple. He would do anything for her, without hesitation. Their relationship got off to an interesting start (after he killed her previous, possessive mate...), but now they are inseparable. If they have to spend a night apart for whatever reason, Aytan doesn't sleep well, and being around her soothes him immensely. He loves her, now and forever, endlessly.
 Elysia
Even if she isn't his daughter by blood, Elsy will always be Aytan's firstborn. The two share an unrivalled bond, and have a closer connection than even Aytan and Rosie do. Though they aren't as close as they once were since the move to Haven, the two will always come back together as though nothing has changed, and continue as normal.
 Ruben
Ru is, essentially, the perfect child for Aytan. A son, willing to spar and train with his father, with enough patience and honour for him to make a great stag. Aytan is immensely proud of his true firstborn son, and wants him to carry on his legacy once he retires from active duty. He chastises Ru for being even softer than he is, but in truth he's happy that his son didn't turn into a harsh-minded brute like other stags he's met.
 Roswell
Ros is a little more of a mystery to Aytan than Ru. He gets on well with his youngest son, there's no doubt in that, but their cogs don't seem to have quite clicked together in the same way. Aytan loves the youngster, but doesn't hold out much hope for his prospects; his strange appearance and balance issues just make him into a little bit of an oddball, and Aytan can't quite get his head round it.
 Atiya and Aspen
Aytan's two newest fawns are his precious little princesses. He loves having two new girls to raise, and is glad that he has some fillies now instead of just colts! He's excited to see what will happen as they get older, though it's already clear that Atiya is the more outgoing and bubbly girl; Aspen is quiet, like her brother Roswell. He's anxious to keep them close and raise them well.
